Tips for fussy eaters
We all recognise the importance of being able to prepare a meal from scratch. Cooking helps build self esteem and encourages kids to eat sensibly.
Back in January 2008, the Secretary for State for Children, Schools and Families, Ed Balls announced that cookery lessons would be made compulsory for 11-14 year olds. He commented: “Leaving school being able to cook healthy dishes from scratch is an essential everyday skill all young people should have.”
As a result, cooking is well and truly back on the curriculum.
This section of the website has been designed specifically to help encourage kids cook delicious, nutritious meals from scratch.
